CPD-Center has developed a new high-tech solution for 3DMID, applications with integrated wiring for three-dimensional plastic objects, based on the patented Cuptronic Technology. The solution will give immediate benefits for volume production of molded interconnected devices (MIDs) to the Telco, Automotive, and Medical Technology industries.
CPD-Center conducts project based research and product development based on the adhesion of metals on non-metallic substrates regardless of application.
The technology works by using polymers that attach the metal in selected areas. The polymers are created in normal room atmosphere and temperature, and bound in a covalent bond with the material, resulting in unmatched adhesion even on very smooth surfaces. CPD-Center offers developers a unique opportunity to exploit a metallization technology, which opens up entirely new applications, and solutions where a metalized surface is needed. The technology’s three main features are, the unique environmentally friendly process, adhesion and its low cost. Moreover, this technology has the following benefits;
1) A fully controlled process. Production waste can be dramatically reduced.
2) Miniaturization through more efficient utilization of selected areas.
3) Simple application.
4) Laser direct activation.
The technology opens up entirely new market segments and application areas where traditional methods cannot be effectively used because of large space requirements and/or high manufacturing costs.
